In 2017, Bishop Justin called the Anglican Diocese of Wellington to spend August as a month of prayer and reflection on the housing crisis. The aims were:
(1) To encourage church members to engage with the issue and personally respond, and
(2) To collectively call the government to increase the supply of social housing.
