The quakers are hosting a weekend seminar on Penal Reform on the 8-10th February in Whanganui.
Assisted by visiting speakers, they will discuss Maori perspectives on the criminal justice system and how reconciliation may happen. They will also explore the Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) and how it can change individual’s lives. On Saturday 9th February Terry Waite will present the Quaker Lecturer for 2019 on the theme of “Crime and Punishment”.
